   INTRODUCING DATCU STADIUM
UNT's stadium has a new name! North Texas Athletics and DATCU entered into a new naming rights and campus agreement as of July 31. The 2023 football season will debut in the newly named DATCU Stadium on Sept. 2 when the Mean Green take on the California Golden Bears. We can’t wait for game day!
The partnership also makes DATCU the official financial institution and exclusive credit union of UNT Athletics and the UNT Alumni Association. DATCU offers students, faculty and staff access to discounted financial services, UNT merch and UNT event tickets as well as financial literacy training and seminars for students.
Learn more about the UNT and DATCU partnership and the history behind the connection. Watch the DATCU Stadium Celebration livestream that aired yesterday.

   GUPTA CAREER CENTER
UNT at Frisco received a $3 million gift from Satish and Yasmin Gupta to support student scholarships and establish the Satish and Yasmin Gupta Career Center at Frisco Landing. It’s the first endowed gift for UNT’s branch campus. The Guptas’ generosity will help students plan and pay for school and set them up for success beyond the classroom.
“Yasmin and I are honored to contribute to UNT at Frisco’s vision of fostering student success,” Satish Gupta says. “It is our hope that our giving to create this career center will help thousands of students in their journey, in their career or in helping enhance their families — because we know that when you believe in yourself, your dreams will come true.”

   SB17 OFFICIAL NOTICE
The Texas State Legislature recently passed and signed into law Senate Bill 17, which prohibits public institutions of higher education from maintaining diversity, equity and inclusion offices, and related activities. UNT President Neal Smatresk issued an official notice stating that the Division of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access will be dissolved, and some units within that division will be transferred to other divisions. Effective Sunday, Aug. 13, the offices of Title IX, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action will move to the Division of Finance and Administration.
