Prospective Observational Comparative Effectiveness Research in Clinical Neurosciences (UG3/UH3 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) PAR-25-048
Application Due Date: September 7, 2025
The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) invites grant applications for investigator-initiated prospective observational comparative effectiveness research (CER) aligned with its mission. Projects may explore preventive strategies, diagnostics, or interventions such as drugs, devices, or therapies, and must be cost-effective and relevant to clinical practice. Awards follow a two-phase structure: an initial UG3 planning phase (up to 2 years) focused on feasibility and operational setup, with potential transition to a UH3 observational study phase (up to 5 years) upon meeting milestones.

This NOFO encourages applications from investigators to pursue translational activities and clinical studies to advance the development of medical devices to prevent, monitor, diagnose, and treat disorders within the missions of the participating NIH institutes and centers, as well as the NIH Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) and The Helping to End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) Initiatives. Activities supported in this program include implementation of clinical prototype devices, non-clinical safety and efficacy testing, design verification and validation activities leading to either a submission of an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) - for a Significant Risk (SR) study - or an Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval - for a Non-Significant Risk (NSR) study.

NSWCDD invites proposals for student and faculty research projects and collaborations aligned with its core technology areas. Priority topics include hypersonics, software engineering, AI, quantum computing, unmanned systems, cybersecurity, directed energy, and other advanced warfare system technologies.
College - University Student Capstone and Senior Research Projects (DD-02)
This opportunity focuses on innovative research projects aimed at developing the next generation of naval scientists and engineers. Areas of interest include hypersonics, AI, quantum computing, unmanned systems, cybersecurity, directed energy, and other advanced technologies supporting warfare system development.
Other technology areas (DD-03) will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

The THECB is now accepting applications to become a Texas Governor’s School (TGS). TGS is a competitive program, offered on a rolling basis, for institutions to provide a 3-week (consecutive) minimum summer residential program on campus for high achieving rising 11th and 12th grade students from Texas high schools. The school program typically runs from late May to mid-August.
