Important Pre-K Update

Enrollment for pre-kindergarten students ages 3 and 4 has been extended through Monday, Sept. 28, 2020.

Whether the student intends to study virtually, in-person or both, he or she must be enrolled in SLPS. Parents may enroll at THIS LINK.

Seeking Your Feedback!

As the second quarter of school quickly approaches, Dr. Adams is seeking feedback. For the first quarter we offered virtual learning, Edmentum, virtual learning in buildings at ISCs and in-person PK4 instruction at Stix. How did the first quarter learning plan work for you and family? What should the second quarter look like?

Please click HERE to provide feedback. In order to have time to review entries, the deadline to submit feedback is noon on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020.

REMINDER: ISCs Closed Friday, Sept. 25

Please note the Instructional Support Centers (ISCs) at all SLPS school sites will be closed on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 for Professional Development for staff.

Please note: synchronous teaching will be provided virtually via Microsoft Teams from 8:15-11:15am on Friday. Students will be given independent (asynchronous) work for the afternoon.

The ISC program will resume its regular schedule on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020.

WHAT: Assessment designed to gauge a student's skills and abilities in reading, language arts, math and algebra
WHO: Students in grades 3-12

WHEN: Oct. 7-31, 2020
WHAT: Practice for college placement assessment
WHO: Students in grade 10

ACT

WHEN: Oct. 6, 2020
WHAT: College placement assessment, required in order to apply to some colleges and universities
WHO: Students in grade 12
