Celebration of Motherhood
Meharry and Vanderbilt University Medical Center hosted the second annual Celebration of Motherhood, spearheaded by Dr. Rolanda Lister (right), capturing the beauty and courage of motherhood. The panel of five mothers and a father was moderated by Karen Johnson, the former interim president of the March of Dimes. With over 250 people attending and approximately 35 community exhibitors including TIPQC, expectant mothers were able to have blood pressure screening, mental health resources, and lactation support - and to pick up free car seats, pack n’ plays, diapers, toys, and other giveaways from Mother to Mother.
