Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Magnificent Magnolia Training and the beginning of our Garden Guides Refresher series! It has been an exciting start to 2023 and we're excited to continue our Garden Guides Refresher series this month.
In addition, we are welcoming new Garden Guide volunteers to the Gardens of Golden Gate Park this February. If you know someone who is interested in joining our interpretive volunteer community, please let them know that we're welcoming a new cohort of Garden Guides this February and share this form with them!
The Magnolia campbellii are blooming! The individual on the south side of the main lawn (bed 7D) is looking spectacular. Not far behind is the orginal M. campbellii that was famously the first to bloom in the United States in 1940, #8 on the Magnificent Magnolias Highlights Walk Map. Magnolia dawnsoniana (#3) has begun to bloom. Remember to check the Magnolia Bloom Tracker, which tracks the bloom status of the Magnolias featured on the Magnificent Magnolias Highlights Walk Map. We're excited to relaunch the Interpretation Stations at the end of this week and can't wait to see you in the Botanical Garden!
