On February 22, the Languages & Cultures Club is pleased to announce their first public event: a Chinese New Year event to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. In honor of the Lunar New Year and its importance Dr. Xue-Ming Bao of the University Libraries has produced the following Library Guide related to Asian Studies.

| Diversity Film Series: "The Larry Doby Story"
On February 27, the Diversity Film Series is showing
Pride Against Prejudice: The Larry Doby Story. The film examines the life of Doby, the second African American Major League Baseball player, who played for the Cleveland Indians. Doby was a New Jersey native, served in WWII, and was ultimately inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

February 22: The Feast of the Chair of St. Peter:
a commemoration of the contributions of the Apostle to the Christian Church. It celebrates his authority and endless efforts to build a strong community around the teachings of Christ and has been celebrated since the earliest times in the Christian era
Your face, Lord, do I seek: Daily Lenten Reflections
Join the School of Theology as it continues its Lenten tradition of daily meditations, this year based on Psalm 27:8, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.” Subscribe to receive daily emails from Ash Wednesday through Holy Thursday.

Intercalary Days or Ayyám-i-Há, celebrated by people of the Bahá’í faith. Intercalary days are observed with gift-giving, special acts of charity, and preparation for the fasting that precedes the New Year.
