We are excited to begin this partnership with you to ensure that our work in support of the campus strategic plan will also enhance your overall IT experience. With that, we are happy to announce the division liaison(s) and IT business analyst team assigned to the Division of Information Technology:
- Division Liaison: Dr. Heather Thielemann
- IT Business Analyst Team: Carrie Brannon, Chelsie Kimich, and Vacant Position
To learn more about this partnership and to track our progress, visit the IT Strategic Alignment website and look for my regular emails with progress updates.
We already have exciting updates to share:
- IT Roadmap
We now have a public roadmap of all project activities taking place within IT@Sam on the IT Strategic Alignment website.
- Campus Products and Relationship Team
Earlier this summer, we established a Campus Products and Relationships team, led by Emmett Rumfield. This team will serve as the face of IT for the university community and is responsible for engaging students, faculty, and staff in a more intentional way to create a good customer experience.
- New IT Requests and the IT Ticketing System Portal Change
As a reminder, please work with your division liaisons for your IT requests. Each division has a designated liaison and an assigned IT business analyst team. This group is responsible for receiving your requests and working with you to prioritize any new IT service requests and projects. This includes ensuring appropriate prioritization and alignment with the new campus strategic plan.
The ability to request assistance or report issues will remain available throughout the alignment.
- Alignment Initiatives
We've hit the ground running and have already kicked off several items on our alignment initiatives including a much-needed update to our ticketing system, developing a Service and Product Catalog, and redefining and streamlining the Technology Acquisition Process.
Throughout the academic year, I will send updates on the progress of these alignment projects.
