Master of Her Craft
This fall, Puget Sound’s inaugural cohort of the Master in Public Health (M.P.H.) program began classes. Overseen by Associate Professor Cara Frankenfeld, eight students began their journey to become master practitioners who are culturally responsive, can promote health equity and community wellness, and can work to prevent injury and illness. The program is the newest of Puget Sound’s five graduate programs and plans to grow to accommodate 25 students each year. We sat down with Frankenfeld to talk about the importance of public health, what students can expect from the program, and why she loves teaching.
