Your Summer Reading List
Summertime and reading seem to go hand-in-hand. If you are looking for some recommended resources for books that address grief (fiction, non-fiction and memoir), we have suggestions for you! We polled our Christi Center staff and office volunteers for grief books they love. Be sure to add any of YOUR suggestions in the comments on the bottom of the page.

Remembering Through Writing
The most powerful memories are oftentimes held in the smallest of items— a jewelry box, laundry bag, or hat. Elevating objects to a higher level, as poet Pablo Neruda does in “Ode to My Socks” or sharing a time when you baked cookies together, helps celebrate the precious moments with your loved one.
The “Remembering Through Writing” workshop brings the special memories of your loved one to life. Modeling Neruda’s odes and personal essays, the workshop leads writers through writing exercises through which you can honor and remember your loved one.
Longtime Christi Center volunteer Terri Schexnayder  will be leading the August 2nd Stage Monday exploration into writing as a means of capturing the tiny moments that make a life together, and preserving them for yourself.
Join us Monday, August 10th at 7pm for "Remembering Through Writing".
