Summer classes via remote learning; scholarships available
I am pleased to announce that UMass Boston will, as normally, offer two sessions of classes this summer. To ensure the safety of our community, all summer classes will be conducted by remote modality. Some will follow a full online format, but most will meet virtually, at their scheduled dates and times, for lecture and discussion.
I am particularly excited to let you know that we will be providing some measures to make this summer program more affordable for our students. First, we will provide to matriculated students a $200 tuition discount for every 3-credit summer course.
Second, we are happy to accept applications for a special summer scholarship of up to $500 for qualified students. We want to do what we can to assist students facing hardship and encourage them to continue their studies. Scholarship applications are available here. Please note that the scholarships and tuition discount are separate from any other financial aid eligibility a student may have.
We hope these efforts will help you stay on track toward successful degree completion.
