Move More
Physical activity is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves, even during stressful times. If you' are looking for ways to get active while also supporting organizations in your local community, virtual runs are a perfect way to do that!
Races across the region and nation have had to shift gears as COVID-19 has impacted the safety of large gatherings. Whether you are a racer, fun runner/walker, or participate to support a cause, a lot of local organizations rely on their races/events for fundraising. While the in-person events are preferred, many organizations have shifted to virtual runs to ensure that runners/walkers stay healthy while practicing social distancing.
This month we are highlighting the second annual Knoxville Asian Festival Year of the Mouse 5k and 1 mile virtual run. While the annual festival has been canceled, funds raised by the virtual run will go to support the organization's mission and local COVID-19 efforts. The festival celebrates Asian culture through food, music, performance, art, and cultural traditions.
The virtual run will be offered through August 1st. If you sign up before July 17th, you can receive a t-shirt in addition to a finishers medal. Registration link is located below.
