 Applications Now Open for 2015 Class 

A six-week intensive training opportunity that empowers working artists to see their vision through an entrepreneurial lens. Hosted at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC), Periscope gives artists perspective and tools to organize, plan, and sustain their creative careers. Periscope provides: 
  • Training: Cumulative professional development training for working artists 
  • Exchange: Sharing best practices with interdisciplinary peers through small group work
  • Mentorship: Access point to entrepreneurship resources and mentors 
  • Exposure: Opportunities to celebrate and highlight the work of alumni artists
The experience is limited to 25 artists, artisans, makers, and creative entrepreneurs of all genres from Nashville and its surrounding counties. Interested artists must complete the application by February 16.

Thursday, January 29th, from 6 – 8 pm | Nashville Entrepreneur Center 
Join us to celebrate the growth of Nashville artists. Come meet the talented 2014 members of the Periscope: Artist Entrepreneur Training program, hear about their art and plans, and raise a glass with us at the one-of-a-kind Periscope Pitch!  

Who will pitch? Celine Thackston (Music), Danny Broadway (Visual Art), Judy Klich (Visual Art), Lolly Durant (Visual Art), Merry Beth Myrick (Jewelry), Meredith Edmondson (Glass Blowing), Rebekah Hampton Barger (Dance), Rhendi Greenwell (Film), Stephanie Pruitt (Literature) and Steven Knapp (Film).

What to expect? Periscope artist mentor Marcus Whitney hosts a small business pitch event unlike any other. Artists will pitch about their artistic work, business model, and key needs on the path to reaching their goals. Expert coaches including Kia Jarmon, Lauren Snelling, Miranda Whitcomb Pontes, and Kate O'Neil will offer feedback.

Tickets? A $20 ticket gets you tasty local treats, libations, and the opportunity to invest in a local artist. All ticket fees go to crowd-fund participating artists.  BUY TICKETS TODAY
