Clemson student wins pitch competition with passion — and a lot of practice
Aleah Gramblin, management ’23, entered the Clemson Powers Business Pitch Competition in March of this year with a passion that has evolved into a small business that helps others in her community. A senior in her last semester as an undergraduate student at Clemson, Gramblin says she entered the competition for the experience but then finished as the competition’s first-place winner.

Clemson alumna Shubhashrita Basu, Ph.D., economics ’21, presented her work, co-authored with Kevin Thom and Avigyan Sengupta, and shared some of the first evidence of the link between ADHD likelihood and later life outcomes in older adults at the Frontiers in Economic Analysis with Genetic Data conference at the University of Chicago in March.
