|
|
As peer-to-peer abuse incidents continue to be reported, it is critical that staff are frequently reminded of prevention strategies. Training Resources for After-School Programming |
The best way to create a culture of safety and set your staff up for success is to provide robust training. By clearly outlining your organization's policies and setting clear expectations, you are then able to hold your staff accountable. To start fall programming out strong, we have compiled a list of our training resources that you can use to onboard your staff and use throughout the year at staff meetings.

Best Practices When Renting Your Space
If your organization is renting out your camp or off-site location this fall, collect rental agreements and contracts. Also, plan to have staff physically present to answer questions and supervise high-risk activities.
Pinch Guards for Door Injuries
Check all your doors in your childcare areas, or other areas frequently used by children for pinch protection hardware. This hardware will help prevent a child's finger from being caught in the door.
