This Fall, students with experience at rock school can tackle the excellent and enduring songs of two Southern Rock legends: LYNYRD SKYNYRD vs. THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND! The list of songs by these bands that you can still hear on the radio waves is almost unending. Lynyrd Skynyrd sculpted blues and country stylings into a gritty, all-American rock form, kicking out anthems like "Free Bird", "Sweet Home Alabama", "Simple Man", and "Call Me the Breeze". The Allman Brothers Band innovated radio rock with the addition of jam and jazz elements along with huge guitar and organ textures, as exemplified in songs like "One Way Out", "Ramblin' Man", "Whipping Post", and "Jessica". And these are all on this show!

This fall we are going to rock out to a band that was crucial to the #punk genre and dominated this side of the Atlantic starting in the mid-1970s: RAMONES! The Ramones lead edge genre-defining punk rock in the mid-70s through the mainstream radio hits they churned out through the 1980s. And don’t forget those leather jackets! Ramones are often cited as the first punk rock group, pumping out hits like "Blitzkrieg Bop," "I Wanna Be Sedated," and "Rockaway Beach."

This Fall we will recreate the groundbreaking Pink Floyd album “The Dark Side of the Moon”Every element, no matter how small will be replicated with faithful attention to detail, from the clock intro that opens “Time,” to the haunting vocals of “Great Gig in the Sky”, the unmistakable drumbeat of “Money” to the full textured soundscapes. Called a “masterpiece” by Billboard magazine when it was released in 1973, fans have obsessed for years over Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon” with its radical integration of music and special effect sounds. Covering such issues as greed and mortality with a psychedelic touch, the songs have influenced decades of artists and still ring true today. “The Dark Side of the Moon” was Pink Floyd’s eighth studio recording, but their first to reach number one. And that's not all .... during the second set of the show we will tackle some more of Pink Floyd's greatest hits!

The Cars were at the forefront in merging 1970s guitar-oriented rock with the new synthesizer-oriented pop that was then becoming popular and which would flourish in the early 1980s. This band was a dominate, chart topping force on rock radio through the late 70s and 80s and were front and center on MTV when they actually played music videos. A brilliantly produced, eclectic blend of pop, rockabilly, punk, early new wave electronic music in a classic rock package that features incredibly catchy, very difficult classic rock guitar solos and vocal hooks and harmonies in every song. This music offers beginners and advanced students alike a solid theoretical curriculum as well as a focus on perfecting important technique on all instruments.

The songs on this list include a pile of the Chili Peppers' best cuts from their entire history, which is sure to include hits like: Under the Bridge, Can't Stop, By the Way, Aeroplane, Soul to Squeeze, Tell Me Baby, and much more!
