“Flexibility” continues to be the name of the game this semester, so we are revisiting some of our top tips to get things going in Spring 2022. Be sure to also check out The Chronicle of Higher Ed article, “Maintaining flexibility without burning out.”

Flexible Assignments & Assessments. UNCG's Keep Teaching website offers several examples to consider to accommodate the possibility of illness on the part of students and/or the instructor. Please use this form to request a training and/or consultation for assistance with classroom technology and course delivery strategies, reach out to your Instructional Technology Consultant for support with any online tools, and visit the ITS Learning Technologies website for a number of on-demand resources.
Trauma Informed Teaching. Applying a trauma informed lens to your teaching continues to be extremely critical. Check out this UTLC: TIO resource for the do's and don'ts of trauma informed teaching, and for more insights be sure to listen to the Teaching in Higher Ed Podcast episode 372 and read this Inside Higher Ed article that also centers trauma informed education.

VOISES Panels Return

These moderated panels allow faculty to hear perspectives of students from marginalized identity groups and reflect on issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Our first panel will feature the voices of Jewish students on Wednesday, January 19 at 1:00 pm via Zoom. Registration required.
