As we begin the new year, we are encouraging our people to take The Nehemiah Challenge. What is The Nehemiah Challenge?
Many Christians have a book of the Bible they focus upon each year. In addition to their daily Bible reading, they read from that book throughout the year. We are asking people to do that with Nehemiah. As you read, ask yourself, “Where are the Nehemiah’s today?” Pray that God will raise up people like Nehemiah in our churches. Are you willing to be a Nehemiah?
As you read the book, notice how Nehemiah inquired about Jerusalem, had concern as he heard of their plight, prayed and repented over actions that led to their situation, and offered himself up to serve. Nehemiah began by assessing the situation and enlisting others to build a strong community.
