Only at GW: Honoring MLK Jr. Day with the Vice President
GW students had a once in a lifetime experience last week: Vice President Kamala Harris, along with U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, HUD Secretary Marcia L. Fudge, AmeriCorps CEO Michael A. Smith and Peace Corps Director Carol Spahn, visited campus for the university's annual MLK Jr. Day of Service, organized by the Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service. Students in the Trachtenberg School's Minority Leadership Program participated in the MLK Jr. Day of Service. Throughout the year, Trachtenberg students and faculty volunteer around the DC community through the Nashman Center or with other service organizations. Read more about Vice President Harris' #OnlyatGW experience in GW Today.
