| Fortner Announces Retirement |
Jim Fortner, vice president and deputy chief business officer, is announcing his retirement from the Institute, effective March 1, 2025.
Over his 27 years of service, Fortner has contributed to the Institute’s successful stewardship of its fiscal resources, as demonstrated by a proven track record of strong fiscal management and performance. Since arriving in 1997, he has held many leadership roles in financial planning and reporting and led important campuswide initiatives.

| Updates to Employee Onboarding and I-9 Verification Process |
Effective Nov. 17, all new employees must complete the onboarding paperwork and I-9 verification process before their employment start date. The Administrative Services Center has launched a new Onboarding Paperwork and I-9 Verification webpage that provides detailed information and resources to guide you through the updated process.

| Duo Phone Call 2FA Phase Out |
Beginning Dec. 3, the Duo phone call method will not be offered as a two-factor authentication (2FA) option for Georgia Tech users logging into any Georgia Tech login system.

As 2024 draws to a close, it is the perfect time to reflect on your achievements, review the tasks and projects you have completed, and document your accomplishments for the year. We encourage you to prepare for your annual evaluation by completing your self-assessment. Log into the PM @Tech platform in Service Now to review and assess your goals or share additional accomplishments to prepare for an in-depth conversation with your supervisor.
The Self-Assessment period runs from Dec. 1, 2024, until Jan. 31, 2025. We invite you to learn more about this phase of the process by registering for the upcoming virtual information sessions:
