Oklahoma Film and Music Day at the Capitol was a huge success! The event, which took place on April 1, included over 55 vendors, music performances and a number of special guest speakers and demonstrations throughout the day. Thank you to our legislative leaders as well as our participating exhibitors, musicians, volunteers, attendees and sponsors, including Cherokee Film, Oklahoma City Film & Creative Industries Office and the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture as well as OKPOP and the Oklahoma History Center who helped OF+MO showcase exciting film and music memorabilia. OKMPA Hosts Film Funding Workshop
The Oklahoma Motion Picture Alliance (OKMPA) will host their second annual workshop at the University of Tulsa THIS SATURDAY, April 5, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. This panel discussion, Show Me the Money: The Path To Film Funding, explores the essential pathways to securing funding for your film project. Moderated by Michael Mustante, Executive of Film & TV Finance and Development for Cherokee Film, this panel will feature producers Kip Konwiser, Sherry Kang and John Moss as well as director Elijah Bigler. This workshop is free for active members and open to the public for $25 per person or $10 with student ID.
Francis Tuttle Technology Center to Offer Musician's Marketing Workshop
Francis Tuttle Technology Center’s Danforth Campus is offering The Modern-Day Musician's Guide to Marketing & Promotion, a three hour workshop taking place April 9, designed to help musicians navigate today’s music industry. Taught by local musician Maggie McClure of The Imaginaries, whose music has been featured in Oklahoma films such as "Reagan,” this session will provide valuable insights into building a brand, promoting music and connecting with audiences in a digital world.
