IUP will be featured this week on WPXI Pittsburgh Gets Real, a streamed series that tackles tough topics and helps marginalized voices in the region be heard. This episode focuses on the university’s work to address the national nursing shortage, to improve rural health, and, through the Crimson Scholars Circle, to help Black and Brown students feel comfortable on campus and continue their studies. Watch at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on the WPXI website.

ACHIEVEMENTS
See which former student-athletes, coach, and team were inducted into the IUP Athletics Hall of Fame in September. Frank Cignetti ’60, M’65, the former head football coach and athletics director who died just weeks before the ceremony, was also honored. 
Faculty members Jon Lewis and Nick Deardorff and student Morgan Spatz will present their research and their work on educational initiatives in the geosciences this week at the Geological Society of America’s annual meeting in Denver.
