The Portland State Chamber Choir kicks off its 50th anniversary season and the release of its new record "The Songs Remain" in a concert that brings the acclaimed professional vocal group Fourth Wall Ensemble to Portland. Hailing from New York City, Fourth Wall Ensemble is a genre-bending group known for their fearless artistry and inventive programming. The program spans the centuries, from Claudio Monteverdi's shimmering Renaissance harmonies to Portland's own Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw.

What would you take with you into the afterlife? Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Pulitzer Prize finalist play Everybody is a contemporary take on the 15th-century morality play Everyman. As "Everybody" journeys toward death, they beseech a colorful cast of characters - including Time, Friendship, Beauty, and Stuff to accompany them. Each night, an onstage lottery assigns cast members their roles, making each performance unique. Irreverent, heartfelt, and unpredictable, Everybody invites us to laugh, reflect, and confront our inevitable end.
