September 6, 2022 marked our first day of the new school year. We are starting the year with three teachers. Richard Vieville joins our returning staff Rebeca Quinto and Erin Angle. While new to our teaching staff, Richard has been a part of the Cheerful Helpers team for three years working as one of our Child and Family Therapists. We are proud of Richard who is continuing his education while maintaining his commitment to our families and agency.
The Cheerful Helpers community welcomed two new students in each classroom. Currently we have six students in Rebeca's room and four students in Erin's class. Cheerful Helpers has an open admission policy. We look forward to growing our classrooms throughout the school year.
In other program news, BEIG (Brief Early Intervention Group) started in September. Play Therapy continues as our therapists support children in our school program. This service is also provided to children from the community. Our school Social Skills group has also started and a community Social Skills group is in the works. All of of these services are great ways for families to learn more about Cheerful Helpers and our family centered therapeutic programing.
