Nomination for Summer Institute at Lingnan University
Academic Affairs is nominating two students for the
Lingnan Summer Institute (see
course list). Tuition and accommodation fees will be waived, and an airfare subsidy of HK$5,000 will be provided to each selected student. Students may take up to two courses over the summer. While transfer credit will not apply toward the NYU Shanghai degree, it’s an excellent opportunity to broaden your international and academic experience.
Only non-senior students with a 2.5 or higher GPA are eligible to apply.
Submit your application by 1 PM, Wednesday, March 4 (Shanghai Time). Nominated students will be notified later this week.

The Plants We Pass On
IMA x CEL x Urban Garden Program
Sanlin — the land on which NYU Shanghai now stands — dates back to the Song Dynasty. As the last part of Historic Sanlin Old Street (三林老街) faces demolition, we invite you to a plant adoption and living archive initiative connecting Sanlin residents with members of the NYU Shanghai community. Through walks and ethnographic field research, we will visit local households, adopt plants that might otherwise be left behind, and document stories. Email
shanghai.cel@nyu.edu with your background and interest.
