"All Things New": by Kelly Minter

Our group, "Women in the Word", meets weekly on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 for refreshments, small group discussion, prayer, and large group time, which includes a teaching segment on video. This semester they will study 2 Corinthians along with Kelly Minter's book, All Things New.  Watch the video below to learn more about this study.  Click HERE to register now!

Mentoring for Moms

"Divine Design" is a unique group for moms of young children which meets on Tuesdays from 9:30-12:00. First, they divide into two groups for a lesson on a particular skill, such as cooking, organizing, crafting, or budgeting, to name a few. Sometimes they go home with dinner already made! (Sheet pan meals, y'all!!)
Following the lesson, everyone gathers for a Bible lesson and discussion. Then they divide up into small prayer groups for a brief time of sharing and praying together. They also have some play dates throughout the year. You also won't want to miss their Spring Retreat on a beautiful ranch located in Brenham, Texas: genuine relaxation with friends.  Register NOW!

2 Samuel Bible Study

"Joy of Living" has been hosted at Tallowood for over 20 years. Women gather at 9:30 for their small group discussion time. At 10:45, they all come together for prayer, worship, and a teaching segment. This is an in-depth Bible Study with homework. This semester they will finish their study of 1 Samuel starting January 9, and then will begin 2 Samuel in February. Click HERE to register NOW!

2 Corinthians Bible Study

Tallowood offers a traditional Precept® Study on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30, and a Precept® “Lord” study on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30.
The morning group will study 2 Corinthians – Ministers of Reconciliation.  This book tells us how to be strong in the Lord when accusations and persecutions are directed toward us, how to have confidence in Him and not lose heart, and even how to correct those who are our accusers. Register NOW!
The evening group (begins in March) will study the challenges the Apostle Paul faced in his life by using 1 and 2 Corinthians, Acts, and other New Testament books along with Kay Arthur's book, "Lord, I Need Grace to Make it Today".  As a follower of Christ, Paul faced spiritual, emotional, and physical opposition throughout his ministry. Like Paul, learn how to trust God in every circumstance! Register NOW!

Small Groups for Women

D-Groups are small groups of women who study God’s word together. D-Groups can meet in the daytime or evenings, depending on what the group decides. You can find out more about forming a group here.
We also have two groups that use special curriculum: "Sonship" and "Standing with the Lord".
SONSHIP is a small group that along with the Bible uses curriculum developed by Jody Mayhew, who has 20 years of Women’s Ministry leadership experience. This is the second year we have offered Sonship, and this year will focus on "Does God Still Speak?"  Register NOW for Tuesday or contact Stephanie Heflin for more details on other date/time options.
STANDING WITH THE LORD is a small group using curriculum developed by church member, Betty York, M.Ed., LPC, LMFT. This spring, the group will discuss "National Integrity" and will apply biblical truths to the topics of racism, idolatry, good and evil, and accountability. This group meets on Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:00 in ET108.  Register NOW!
