OLGA KERN PLAYS RACHMANINOFF PLUS BLUE DANUBE SEP 21 & 22, 2019 Sensational pianist and Cliburn winner Olga Kern opens the 2019-2020 season with Rachmaninoff's glorious Piano Concerto No. 2. Hear the ASO's interpretation of Johann Strauss' The Blue Danube Waltz and a newer work by Philadelphia composer Jennifer Higdon. BEETHOVEN'S PASTORAL MAR 07 & 08, 2020 Hear the ASO perform one of the touchstones of the symphonic repertoire, Beethoven's "Pastoral" Symphony No. 6. Selections from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and Piazzolla's The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires starring violinist Lindsay Deutsch round out the program, which also features a world premiere by composer Christopher Theofanidis.

OCT 26, 2019 Celebrate Halloween with the 1922 silent horror film Nosferatu (Dracula) starring Max Schreck. The Allentown Band will premiere an original music score written for this film by Steve Reisteter.
