The days are shorter. The nights are cooling off. Close your eyes, and you might be able to smell a turkey roasting. Delicious! And in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for this year’s long summer. I’m also thankful for the fresh views that only start to appear once the leaves have fallen. I’m extremely thankful that the weather is nice enough that I can hit a few trails between Halloween candy and pumpkin pie. Mostly, though, I’m thankful that I get to enjoy all that’s on offer here in the Heart of Adventure and share it with you, my friends.

One of ballet’s most enduring holiday traditions, this version of “The Nutcracker” is reimagined with a local spin. The classic tale is set at Brevard’s historic Silvermont Mansion in the early part of the 20th century. Tie up your toe shoes and get ready to waltz with the flowers at this magical event.
