Congratulations to Daniela Santos Oliveira |
WDS-IPO Project Manager, Daniela Santos Oliveira, received the Tenopir-King Research Excellence Award in recognition of research excellence by Research Innovation Center (RIC) Employees at the University of Tennessee.
Each year RIC presents two Tenopir-King Research Excellence Awards. They are presented to honor Dr. Carol Tenopir, Chancellor’s Professor Emerita and retired member of the School of Information Sciences faculty, who is world-renowned for her research about scholarly communication, and Donald King, Dr. Tenopir’s long-time research partner, who also was a member of CCI’s Board of Visitors.
Daniela has continually contributed to the WDS by supporting long-term relationships with colleagues from 10 countries in Central and Latin America. Her thorough attention to detail, ability to overcome language barriers, and consistent communication with partners have been pivotal in the success of workshops and the achievement of two key goals in the WDS Action Plan. Daniela's also worked on the development of the WDS Webinar Series on International Repository-related Policies. Congratulations to Daniela for receiving this prestigious award!

FIDELIS Landscape Survey Launched |
The FIDELIS landscape survey has been launched. The landscape survey aims to contribute to understanding the current needs of repositories in specific areas. The results will inform different parts of the project, guiding efforts in providing harmonization, training, and support for repositories.
The survey consists of a core set of questions, with optional supplementary questions for those who wish to provide additional information. The core questions are estimated to take around 20 minutes, with the whole survey taking approximately 40 minutes if all additional questions are also answered. Because of the inclusion of open-ended questions, the true duration of the survey will vary largely between people.
The survey is also open to respondents from outside of Europe, despite the focus of the project being initially European. The survey will remain open until Friday, 25 April 2025. Updates on the survey will be provided in June.
For any questions about the survey, you can consult the glossary or contact maaike.verburg@dans.knaw.nl.
