Busy Bee's Members Go to Space Camp

Taylor G. and Leah M. recently returned from Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. We made friends from across the state, made rockets, and practiced teamwork and problem-solving as we completed a mission. We had a ‘BLAST” and highly recommend this trip to others in 6th -8th grades. Thank you 4-H Adult Leaders for your financial support of our trip!

Club Community Service Opportunity - Galloway House & Village

There’s a busy season starting soon at the Historic Galloway House and Village in Fond du Lac!

We’re lining up great events like our 67th Annual Ice Cream Social, Old-Fashioned Games Weekends, Trick or Treat in the Village, and more! Looking for a community service project? Come on over and help us set up for events, paint one of our historic buildings, help with kids’ crafts, or come up with your own idea to run past us. We have a wide variety of ways clubs can be involved; we can’t serve our community without awesome volunteers!
Volunteering is not the only opportunity for your clubs here. Are you ready for a cool field trip, complete with hands-on activities? Schedule one today! Trained docents will immerse your members in what life was like in our community around the turn of the century.

We have a lot to offer your club members, and we know 4-H members have a lot to offer us! We’re excited to partner with area 4-H clubs; please reach out at the contact information below or operations@fdlhistory.com to continue the conversation!

Thanks so very much for your time,

June Dairy Day Volunteers Needed

The Envision Greater Fond du Lac Agri-Business Council, in partnership with National Exchange Bank and Trust, invites the community to the 38th Annual June Dairy Days Celebration on Saturday, June 3. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. near National Exchange Bank and Trust, 130 South Main Street in Fond du Lac. This free, community appreciation event is open to the public.
Animals Needed at Petting Zoo
We are asking for your members to bring their farm animals to the zoo.  We would like a variety of animals (goats, pigs, lambs, donkeys, ducks, chickens, horses, etc.). We will have hand washing stations available.

1. Participation involves club members bringing farm animals to the bank for the duration of the zoo - Saturday, June 3, 2023. The zoo runs from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. We would like all animals in place by 8:30 a.m. Club members also agree to bring a water container, food, and bedding (straw or sawdust) for their animal(s).

2. The Envision Greater Fond du Lac Agri-Business Council agrees to provide pens and water.

3. Club members may wish to accompany their animals in the pens to assure proper handling by guests and share stories and answer questions about their animals.

In celebration of Wisconsin’s dairy industry, the event will feature a variety of farm animals, dairy games, prizes and more. A sampling of Wisconsin’s finest dairy products will be available including several cheese varieties, grilled cheese, butter popcorn and milk. There will be activities for the whole family.

If your 4-H club would like to sponsor a dairy game, serve cheese samples, or help work the games, please give us a call. We invite your club to participate. Join us in our efforts to promote June Dairy Month! Please let us know by Friday, May 19, 2023 if you would like to participate.
