Good morning! Clemson has named four finalists for its next executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. Several University faculty members team up to create DNA "barcodes"; the Death Valley Nights concert series will bring live music to Memorial Stadium next spring.

Clemson University has made the decision to sunset multiple commissions established over recent years. The commissions have successfully fulfilled their important charge, making a lasting impression on the value, strength and growth of the Clemson community and our campus, demonstrating what dedicated individuals can accomplish together.

University faculty Hugo Sanabria (left) and Marc Birtwistle (right) are teaming up to create tiny tags made from DNA and fluorescent dyes that light up in unique patterns like barcodes. The barcodes would help researchers track specific proteins in cells, offering a deeper view into how those cells behave, interact and change.

Clemson Athletics has announced a partnership between Clemson Ventures and Does Entertainment to bring concert events back to Memorial Stadium, beginning spring of 2026. The Death Valley Nights concert series will offer world-class live music events for the Clemson community, with performers and other details for the first show announced at a later date.
The Savannah Bananas will play Clemson Baseball (with Banana Ball rules) at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Thursday, October 23, at 7 p.m. The Bananas are managing ticket availability for the event, with details available at a later date.

The next professional headshot day will be on Wednesday, September 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room 413 of Cooper Library. No appointment is necessary to receive new or updated headshots. This event is for Clemson faculty and staff only.
