Walsh University’s Welcome Weekend invites new and returning students to celebrate the start of the academic year. We encourage you to connect with friends and become acquainted with the university's vibrant community. This weekend is packed with activities and sessions that are both informative and fun, ensuring that you start your Walsh journey on the right foot. On Friday, dive into the festivities with the time-honored Matriculation ceremony, a Class Picture, a Cookout, and the high-energy Friday Night Lights. Saturday is all about giving back and having fun with Service Saturday, exciting games, and a Foam Party, events where you’ll have fun and make new friends. Cap off the weekend on Sunday with a Holy Mass, the Intramural Showcase, and a relaxing Sunday Social. Let’s make this a weekend to remember! | Full Schedule (PDF)

Save the Date for Maroon & Gold Weekend! |
Maroon & Gold Weekend, September 20–22, at Walsh University will be filled with opportunities to celebrate all things Walsh! From the homecoming game to parent and family fun, this year’s festivities include numerous sporting events, tailgating at Cavalier Stadium, a special Cav Chat from President Collins, Holy Mass, and plenty of fellowship—there’s something for everyone!
The weekend kicks off on Friday at 5:30 PM with the Parent/Family BBQ on the campus Quad, Women’s Rugby at 7 PM, and a fireside fellowship beginning at 8 PM at the Alumni fire pit.
The Maroon & Gold Tailgate at the Cavalier Stadium, Saturday at 11 AM, will be followed by a 1 PM football game and 7 PM soccer game.
Holy Mass is at 11 AM on Sunday, followed by brunch and Sprint football at 1 PM We look forward to seeing you there!

Claire Corridoni ’18 Appointed as Director of Campus Ministry |

|
Claire Corridoni ’18 has been appointed the new Director of Campus Ministry. A passionate and dynamic leader, she brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to fostering spiritual growth and community engagement within the University. Corridoni, a graduate of Walsh University, earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2018 as a Blouin Scholar. Since graduation, she has dedicated her life to ministry, serving in various roles across multiple parishes and dioceses. Her journey has included significant work with NET Ministries in the USA and Scotland, where she led teams of young adults in retreat ministry and discipleship. | Read More

Women’s Committee to Host Annual Boot Scootin’ Barbeque |
|
|
Put on your country western boots, hats, and dungarees for an evening of fun at the Boot Scootin’ Barbeque hosted by the Walsh University Women’s Committee! The event, which raises funds for student scholarships, will be held at the Hoover Dance Hall on Friday, September 6, from 6–10 PM, and includes dinner from Old Carolina Barbecue, line dancing to toe tappin’ tunes and prizes for the best western hats, boots, and outfits. Join the Walsh University Marching Band |
We invite you to be a part of collaborative music making, exciting show designs, and brilliant networking opportunities in the Walsh Band! All materials needed to participate are provided at no additional cost. This includes meals, your dorm room during band camp (one week before classes), instruments, and uniforms. Kick off the new academic year with The Garage: Nolan Family Center for Innovation at a Block Party! Discover what The Garage offers and learn how you can get involved in this vibrant community. Featuring presentations by students and their businesses, as well as information about our on-campus pitch competition, WU Launchpad, this event is a must-attend.
