Hello Neighbor!

There were times I lost my way. If I felt that friends and family couldn’t provide meaningful direction, I searched for wisdom and guidance in books.

Finding quotations that were appropriate to my situation provided reassurance. I realized I wasn’t the first person to wrestle with the issue. And I quickly saw that answers were uncovered by others, communicated to me through the ages in the form of word gifts. I quickly benefited from the wisdom they shared.

Here are the most valuable 10 quotes I’ve relied on, that echo through many stages of my life. I’m so grateful for whatever led these people to discover and share what I’ve grown to recognize as fundamental human truths. I’ve repeated each of these to friends and acquaintances through the years, hoping that these gifts of wisdom would guide them as they guide me. Lenny is a handsome 6 ½-year-old German Shepherd mix who is desperately looking for a home to call his own, either as a permanent family member or as a foster.

He walks beautifully on a leash, sits when asked, and also makes a great jogging companion! Lenny is currently boarding at a local facility where he gets along with other dogs. His family was devastated when they had to re-home Lenny because he was uncomfortable when a new baby joined the family. For that reason, Lenny is recommended for a home with children 12 or older. Lenny is a shy boy, who’s longing to find someone he can trust and give his heart to. And he is so ready to get back to home life!

Bryn Mawr Rehab Exhibition and Sale
Saturday, November 2nd – January 26th

Art Ability at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital features fine art, sculpture, jewelry and crafts by artists with physical, cognitive, hearing and visual impairments. Free to the public. Artists receive 80 percent of proceeds from the sale of their pieces and 60 percent of consignment sales. 20 percent of all sales supports Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital’s programs. Art Ability also serves as a resource for corporate art collections. Original works of art by artists with disabilities are now in the offices of the Bryn Mawr Hospital Health Center, Comcast Corporation, Deloitte & Touche, Shannondell at Valley Forge, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Kirby Bates Associates, and Bryn Mawr Hospital.
