Fourth Temporary Extension of COVID-19 Telemedicine Flexibilities for Prescription of Controlled Medications |

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) jointly with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is issuing a fourth extension of telemedicine flexibilities for the prescribing of controlled medications through December 31, 2026.
This rule is effective January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026

Texas Division of Worker’s Compensation 2026 Updates |
|

The Texas Division of Worker’s Compensation seeks input on the proposed Medical Quality Review Calendar Year 2026 Annual Audit Plan. The proposed plan is to select one audit focused either on the medical necessity and appropriateness of prescribing topical analgesics or on evaluating utilization review agent peer review reports for compliance with Official Disability Guidelines, accepted standards of care, and appropriate reviewer selection.

| Dell Med FME Team is Looking to Expand its Network |
An FME is a forensic medical or psychiatric evaluation conducted by a team of physicians, residents, and/or medical students to support asylum cases involving trauma, abuse, or other forms of violence. They have been shown to double the success rate of asylum approval from 42% to 82%, making this work invaluable to our migrant communities.

Dell Med is hosting Annual FME Training on Saturday, February 7th, 2026. Physicians, residents, and medical students will be trained in conducting evaluations and writing affidavits. Register HERE.
