2. Re-evaluate
Slowing down not only gives us time to tend to ourselves and others, but it also allows us to really re-evaluate how different areas in our lives are aligning together as well as of the relationships we hold with ourselves and our communities. Taking the time to be still can provide you with new directions and the motivation to grow towards new ways of being, doing, and relating, which is exactly what the world needs in times like these. Try reflecting on the following questions:
- What really matters for you in times like these?Â
- How are you responding or not responding and what does that mean for you?
- How are you connected to / showing up for your communities in these moments?Â
- What old ways of doing things aren’t serving you anymore?
- What relationships need the most tending to?
- What shifts might you need to make to be in relationship with yourself or with others in the ways that you would like to be?
Re-evaluating is a great opportunity to take stock of what matters most to us and the impacts (positive, negative, neutral, conscious, or unconscious) we are making and/or would still like to make. Use the insights you gain to direct your goals, your connections, and your daily practices.
