The two-part online panel discussion will kick-off at 2 p.m. CDT May 28 with A Safe Return For Collegiate Athletes to Campus – Critical Areas of Preparation. Council members from every level of collegiate play will discuss the ICSM Return-to-Campus Preparation and Communication Plan document in greater detail and provide insights. Webinar on Nutrition and the Immune, Inflammatory, Injury Processes
Jordan Mazur, MD, RD, will present “The ABCs of Nutrition and the Immune, Inflammatory and Injury Processes of Athletes” June 24. This webinar will review the nutritional strategies that may enhance proper immune function, mitigate the physiological stress from training, support the recovery process and provide key nutrients that prevent damage to or facilitate refortification of bone or tissue. Mazur is in his third season with the San Francisco 49ers as the team's nutrition coordinator. He previously served as the director of sports nutrition at the University of California, where he was responsible for overseeing all nutrition- and dietitian-related services for student athletes. This webinar is sponsored by the California Milk Advisory Board, an instrumentality of the California Department of Food and Agriculture.
