Hello friends,
We are closely monitoring the recommendations and guidelines issued in regards to the COVID-19 virus.
Currently, all performances are proceeding as scheduled. At this point, there has been no conversation or consideration about shutting down.
We are communicating regularly with staff, crew, and performers—and we all feel a strong a conviction to that classic theatre adage—the show must go on. We will keep patrons updated via email, as well as on our website and social media channels, if anything changes.
In light of the concern surrounding the Coronavirus, we want to share some of the precautions we are taking to protect patrons against the spread of Coronavirus, as well as everyday illnesses like the common cold and flu.
Hand sanitizer will be available for all patrons at the theatre, and high-touch areas (door handles, railings, etc.) are being disinfected before and after each performance.
In addition, we are monitoring the situation daily and will continue to take the recommended steps laid out by the Center for Disease Control.
We encourage our patrons to use simple, everyday actions that protect us all from respiratory viruses, including frequent handwashing and properly covering every cough or sneeze. If you are sick or a member of a vulnerable population, we recommend that you stay home. We are happy to exchange your ticket for another showing.
Theatre Raleigh wants to do our best to ensure the safety and health of our patrons while making sure that the Arts continue to thrive in North Carolina.
For more information about safety measures relating to the Coronavirus, please read the valuable information from our friends and partners at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
And also feel free to read this statement from the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts building.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to respond to the impact of the Coronavirus. All the best, Lauren Kennedy Brady
