Message from the Executive Director

I want to take a moment to recognize a friend and partner, Kevin Patrick Kane, who passed away on October 27 of gastrointestinal cancer. Kevin, age 50, was the founder and president of the Pelican Institute for Public Policy and board member for the Choice Foundation, which operates three charter schools in New Orleans.
