To All Our Mothers of Dragons,

We wish you THE most special day today. You are so very loved!

The Book Fair Is This Week!

Check out great new titles, pick up some great summer reads, and support our St. Michael's community all at once! St. Michael’s is excited to be working with book company Literati for our book fair this year.
Here's some helpful information for both new and returning Book Fair shoppers:
  • The in-person Book Fair will take place from 9 a.m. on Monday, May 11, through Wednesday, May 13, in the newly renovated Allen Library.
  • The Book Fair will also be open before and during the Celebration of the Arts, on the evening of Tuesday, May 12, until 6:15 p.m.
  • Our Online Book Fair is currently live! (See below) Just visit our St. Michael’s Literati store to start browsing and purchasing books. If you would like to make a purchase before the Book Fair, look for the ‘Free School Delivery’ tag, to avoid shipping costs.
  • Teacher Wish Lists are also live, and available for browsing on the St. Michael’s Literati store. As in years past, each Teacher Wish List book purchased will earn ONE raffle ticket for our fabulous Book Fair raffle baskets; just be sure to list your student's name when ordering.
  • This year’s fair is Completely Cashless! No more plastic baggies and lost change! For the easiest shopping experience, Book Fair shoppers are encouraged to purchase a Literati gift card. Credit cards and personal checks will also be accepted.
  • All St M students will visit the Book Fair with their home room or English class.
  • 25-30% of all Book Fair sales come back to the St M community, helping to support our St M library collections, classroom libraries, and SMPA programming!

Order Back To School Supply Kits: Convenience & Brand-Named Items

Back-to-school shopping is not just about buying supplies. It is about navigating the list, comparing brands, and making multiple store runs. With 1st Day School Supplies, that entire process disappears. Order online in minutes, and everything arrives in one box, exactly as requested by your teacher.
The St. Michael's Parents' Association (SMPA) is excited to announce that families can once again purchase K-8 Back to School Supply Kits that will be waiting for children on their desks at Lower School Meet Your Teacher Day and Middle School Orientation! (These kits were VERY well-received last year, and families were very pleased with the quality!)
Plus, you will be amazed at how much money you can save compared to shopping at Walmart, Target, and Amazon--- up to 30%.  And a portion of sales also goes back to the St. Michael's Parents' Association.
** The purchase DEADLINE is July 1. **

LovEvolve 7 Day Challenge

At our Middle School Wellness Day, Keynote Speaker Sunny Goode, founder of LovEvolve, spoke about the power of self-love, kindness, and resilience. Sunny is also an established artist and she and her team painted the St M LOVE murals.
Before Sunny left, she challenged our Dragons to take her message one step further with the The LovEvolve 7 Day Challenge: small acts of love, every day for a week.
Starting this Monday, May 11, we are inviting all of our K-8 students to participate in the challenge to complete one small act of love/kindness each day over the course of 7 school days. After all, love in action is one of the greatest lessons we strive to teach our Dragons.
