| Equipping Local Helping Professionals With Tools for Financial Conversations With Their Clients
Unsure about how to discuss money with your clients? Encouraging Financial Conversations (EFC) is an Extension developed series that will help you engage in positive conversations around money. EFC is a six-session course providing those who are in the helping professions with tools and resources to coach their clients. Through the sessions, professionals learn about financial problem-solving, goal setting, spending plans, saving, building credit and managing debt, maximizing income, and protecting themselves from scams, fraud, and identity theft.

| Expanding 4-H Afterschool Clubs
Misty Jimenez, 4-H Associate Educator, partnered with the Fond du Lac Boys and Girls Club Roberts location to continue a 4-H Art club within the Boys and Girls Club. Jimenez worked with Anna Koepsell, Roberts Extension Director, to build out the 6-week Art Club for 3rd-5th grade members. The club had 11 youth members.

| Nature’s Navigators: Supporting Neurodiverse Learners
Research has shown that autistic students choose STEM majors at a much higher rate than neurotypical students, yet college attendance rates for autistic youth are much lower than expected. Recommendations for easing the transition of autistic youth to college include experiential learning opportunities, specialized teaching strategies, STEM career exposure, and social skills development.

All of us are members of different communities. When we think of the word community, we probably think of a physical space, such as the place you live or the places you go like a place of worship. However, community can mean so much more than that! Community can also be found from a shared sense of identity you have with people like yourself.

| New Tool Helps Farmers Make Conservation Decisions Sustainability is a common topic of discussion in agriculture. We typically equate sustainability to the environment, but it actually has three facets: environmental, financial, and social. Social sustainability involves the well-being of the people impacted, and financial sustainability involves making decisions to promote the financial viability of an entity.

| A New Partnership with Berry Drop In Center
The Berry Drop In Center, a part of Robert E. Berry House, Inc., is a community center designed to provide support and resources for individuals experiencing mental health conditions and/or recovering from substance abuse. The drop-in center has a long history in Fond du Lac County having opened in 2007 under NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness). The center is a location for networking, resource sharing, and offering of classes/events, such as art therapy, music, nutrition, healthy coping skills, etc.

| Reducing Enteric Methane Emissions in US Holstein Cows
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is crucial for addressing the challenges ahead, both in the dairy industry and for society as a whole. Meeting the growing demand for animal protein while minimizing environmental impact has become an urgent priority. Guillermo Martinez Boggio, Post Doctoral Associate at UW-Madison, was invited to talk about his research in the Badger Dairy Insight last month. He talks about the objectives of his research, the efforts he and his team has done to collect data from commercial farms and some preliminary results on methane prediction using milk spectra data.
