Graduate Council Representatives bridge the gap between academic units and Graduate Council, contributing to matters of policy, programming, and community engagement. Beyond meetings and decision-making, you would help the Graduate Council foster an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and support among graduate students, recognizing community as the heart and soul of meaningful governance. Specifics on the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of Graduate Council Representatives are listed here. If you are interested, please submit your intent to run by Saturday, May 31.

Are you looking to jump-start your next dissertation chapter or move past a roadblock in your writing? Don’t miss UChicagoGRAD’s May Dissertation Write-In, an intensive four-day group writing retreat designed to help you build community and make meaningful progress on your work.
This Write-In will be held from May 27 through May 30. Space is limited, so participants should commit to attending three of the four days. This workshop is open to all PhD students. This event is at capacity, but you can join the waitlist.

| Documentary Screening: Chinatown Cha-Cha
