LOCAL TEENS GIVING BACK
Twelfth grade Harriton students Matthew Moskow and Marina Anderson launched the Main Line Math Project in the spring of 2023. The volunteer community organization is dedicated to providing students with a safe, helpful, and enjoyable environment to overcome the stress of learning math. The Main Line Math Project has assembled a team of 35+ high school leaders who provide complimentary math tutoring to students from first to tenth grades, through free community workshops sessions in area libraries on weekends. In the first season, Main Line Math Project helped more than 100 students. The new season begins October 1.
The tutors are a team of high school students in 10th through 12th grade who maintain A’s in Harriton High School’s highest AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and IB Analysis classes.
Parents and guardians are welcome to stay for the tutoring session, enjoy the beautiful Ludington Library, or step away for a short walk to Starbucks or La Colombe. Each session is one hour, held between noon and 2:00 on Sundays.
Any student that is geographically convenient can sign up. The venue, Ludington Library, was deliberately chosen as Lower Merion School District’s largest community library, accessible by Septa bus and train, to be convenient for the greatest geography of kids.
The Main Line Math Project tutors will not accept payment, and are doing this to give back. Learn More!
