June Music Meetup At Jeff & Blues
|
The Huntsville Music Office will host its next Quarterly Music Meetup on June 6 at Jeff & Blues (adjacent to The Orion Amphitheater) from 6-8 p.m.
This social event is free to attend and provides an opportunity to learn more about the City's music initiatives, connect and network with Huntsville's Music Officer, members of the Huntsville Music Board, the tvg hospitality team and others within our growing music and creative communities.
Representatives from the Huntsville Hospital Music Therapy program will also be on hand to share insight into the depth of work that music therapists provide for patients and families throughout the hospital system.
We encourage everyone interested in helping our music scene reach its full potential to come out and participate!

Make Music Day Huntsville |
The Huntsville Music Office and the Huntsville Hospital Music Therapy program welcome you to celebrate Make Music Day Huntsville on Wednesday, June 21! The goal of Make Music Day Huntsville is to provide an equal platform for musicians of all skill levels, interests and walks of life and to inspire the next generation of music makers.
Unlike a typical music festival, anyone can play music or host performances. Participation is encouraged from all ages, genres and abilities, from music students to professional artists and everything in between. For as little as 15 minutes, turn your back porch, the sidewalk in front of your retail space, business or parking lot into a music venue.
The Make Music Day Huntsville website serves as an online “matchmaking” database for both artists and venues. Groups can create accounts and register either as a location interested in hosting a performer or as a performer seeking a venue. Check out the site to register or see where you can catch a performance!

It’s still more than four months out, but we’re ramping up to host the Music Cities Convention on Oct. 18-20. They recently recognized Huntsville as “Alabama’s first Music City,” which was quite the honor. We look forward to their visit!
