Long weekends are one of those simple joys in life that make such a massive difference. As we take an extra day off tomorrow to observe Indigenous Peoples' Day, we hope that everyone is able to soak in some additional family time, adventure seeking, or well-deserved rest.
However you choose to spend the day, enjoy it; and remember to be grateful for all the little things (and little humans☺️) in our lives!

Looking back on this week, it’s the conversations that have stayed with me. Stephanie and Jenny K. shared about their experience at the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Alabama. Another teacher shared the wonderful news that they are three years cancer-free. Our Board met with renewed energy to talk about the future of the school, and our Parents Association discussed ways to bring families together, raise funds, and serve our neighbors. There was a lot to take in, and I’ve found myself thinking about each of these moments since.

Book Character Parade and Fall Festival |
|
|
|
|
Come one, come all to a favorite FSW tradition, the Book Character Parade!
On Wednesday, October 28th, all students get to come to school dressed as their most beloved book character, and you can witness the creativity as we proudly gallivant our costumes through campus.
The parade will start at 8:30 AM.
In order to prevent traffic through the parade route, Camellia Gate will close at 8:15 AM.
Parents coming on campus to watch the parade are advised to enter and exit through the Peiffer Gate, and park on the soccer field.
Later that afternoon, is Fall Festival!
Parent volunteers are essential for making Fall Festival a success, so follow the link below if you want to sign up.
Please note: We kindly ask that parents refrain from attending Fall Fest unless they are volunteering with a station.
