Giving Day Raises a Record $173,822 |
The IVC Foundation raised an unprecedented $173,822 at their annual Giving Day event on October 16, which go towards supporting IVC students and programs. This marks the sixth straight year the Foundation has set a new record. Donations were bolstered by the PRO IVC matching incentive, through which the IVC Foundation Board of Governors contributed $1 for every $2 donated, up to a $500 match per Foundation account. IVC Receives Major Investment from the Samueli Foundation to Expand STEM Transfer Opportunities |
IVC has been selected as one of four higher education institutions in Orange County to receive $3 million dollars from the Samueli Foundation to strengthen pathways for community college students pursuing degrees and careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The initiative also includes the creation of the Orange County STEM Regional Collaboration, a three-year, $4 million partnership among IVC, Fullerton College, Orange Coast College, and Cal State Fullerton. Women's Soccer Team Earns Biggest Point of Season at Cypress |
Irvine Valley's women's soccer team kept its playoff hopes alive with a 0-0 Orange Empire Conference draw at eighth-ranked in the state Cypress on the road Tuesday afternoon. It was the first tie of the year for the Lasers. Irvine Valley's record moved to 9-8-1 on the year and 3-7-1 in the conference.
