Texas Tech College of Human Sciences

February 2016

Friend,
The College of Human Sciences is buzzing with energy and excitement as the weather warms, and we settle into the Spring 2016 semester. We are happy to bring you this inaugural issue of E-Viewpoints. We hope this newsletter will inform and inspire our friends and alumni.
At the beginning of this month, Texas Tech University reached an important milestone. Texas Tech is now listed number 81 among 115 of the top doctoral institutions in the Highest Research Activity category by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. This top tier classification is announced every five years. Administration, faculty, and staff in each of our departments supported Texas Tech in reaching this goal with their dedication to research and teaching.
We are proud to share our news with you and ask you to stay engaged with your college. Please reach out to us and share your news and accomplishments.
Sincerely,
Dean Linda C. Hoover, Ph.D.
AT&T Dean’s Chair in Human Sciences
