ICANotes Updates for June 14, 2021

Changes made to ICANotes in our June 14, 2021 release are described below. Please call ICANotes Support at 443-569-8778 if you have any questions or visit our HIPAA-compliant Support Portal.
Text our Support Team
ICANotes customers now have the option to text our Support team, in addition to the current contact methods of phone, chat, and email. The number to text message ICANotes Support is 866-301-0085. 

Practice Management Updates
New Chart Room
We have an updated Chart Room in ICANotes which will streamline your workflow. You may have seen an early sneak peek of this update when you logged in to your account today. Please join us for informational webinars about this exciting new update, which will be out within the next few weeks!

Settings and Directories
A new POS Combos tab has been added to the Billing Rates and Payer Rules tab of your Individual Settings and Directories. In this new section, you can specify which combination of procedure code and modifier(s) produces a specific Place of Service (POS) Code within the note. However, any Billing Service Combo with a POS code is given priority over a matching POS combo for any clients currently utilizing the Billing Service Combos group rule. For more details about creating POS Combos, please refer to our knowledge base.

Security Center
A new group rule has been added to the Security Center that will include the Total Minutes Spent in the finished progress note if entered. Security Administrators can enable this rule by navigating to the Defaults tab within the Security Center.

Patient Accounts
When collecting Pre-Payments from Patient Accounts, the option to Exclude Disabled Sites has been added to the Select Site pop-up window. This will make choosing a Site location easier for the user.

Another exciting feature regarding Pre-Payments is that they will now populate within Patient Accounts reports if they have not yet been applied, giving the user a better overview of reporting.

Reports
The Internal Control Number is now a filterable option in Patient Accounts exports. The ICN (Internal Control Number) is typically contained on most remittances coming into AutoPost and can also be viewed when the 'Show Details' option is selected in AutoPost and the user clicks the Claim Numbers pop-up.

Chart Face
The "Search" button located at the top left corner of each Chart Face has been improved in verbiage and appearance. The functionality of the tool is the same: click Find a Chart from the Chart Face to search for and go to the next client's chart without having to navigate first to the Chart Room.

Link to Treatment Plan
The Quick Note has evolved from a simple note to meet customer needs by adding billing, prescribing, diagnosis entry, and clinical orders. With this latest update, the Quick Note now includes the ability to Link to Treatment Plan, which will place selected goals and interventions into the body of the Quick Note. For more information about linking Treatment Plans into notes, please see the Link to Treatment Plan knowledge base article.

New History of Present Illness for Therapists and Counselors
ICANotes is releasing a new HPI (History of Present Illness) for Therapist and Counselors that combines a simplified workflow and new design. The new HPI is streamlined and cleaner in appearance. It also allows quick access to the Symptoms area. All users have the ability to switch back to the "classic" view. We would love your feedback on the new HPI for Therapists and Counselors.
