Calling for Stronger Action on Cardiovascular Health at the 79th World Health Assembly |
Representing the global cardiovascular community at the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, the World Heart Federation (WHF) has called for stronger, more equitable, and more integrated action on cardiovascular health and other noncommunicable diseases worldwide.
We were proud to see Professor Julie Redfern, WHF Board Member and SOLVE-CHD Chief Investigator, deliver powerful statements of advocacy on the global stage - highlighting the importance of prioritising cardiovascular disease in emergency and humanitarian settings, strengthening cardiac rehabilitation in health systems, and reframing cardiac rehabilitation as ongoing, person-centred care. These statements align with the upcoming WHF Roadmap on Rehabilitation, bringing to the forefront the essential role that rehabilitation plays in health services and care.
