The U.S. Air Force Academy Association & Foundation has recently learned of the death of Lt. Col. (Ret.) Edward P. Bailey, CS-08, Class of 1966. Lt. Col. Bailey passed away on March 8, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina.

A Memorial Service was held on March 27, 2026 , at the Landfall Dye Clubhouse, Wilmington, North Carolina. At a future date, a memorial service and burial will be held at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
Donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Lifecare (Hospice) or Hillsdale College in Col. Bailey's honor.
Condolences may be left online with his obituary.
