Psalm 34:1-3
I will extol the Lord at all times;
    his praise will always be on my lips.
 I will glory in the Lord;
    let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify the Lord with me;
    let us exalt his name together.

New International Version (NIV)
               Happy Thanksgiving!  What is our strategy to put praise into practice?  The Psalmist had a plan.  He planned to praise God constantly.  One benefit of always praising God is the lack of time to criticize others.  We say it in church:  God is good all the time.  All the time God deserves our praise.
               Another benefit of incessant praise is attention of the audience.  All around us people are hurting.  When they hear about the goodness of God and see his glory reflected in us they will also rejoice.  This gets us out of our self-imposed isolation.
               Praise is always practiced best in community with others.  So hear the invitation:  “Glorify the Lord with me . . .”  If no one else praises God, we should.  But some are awaiting our invitation to exalt the name of the Lord together.  Together is better!
Pray with me:
Father, forgive us for wasting time lamenting life.  Help us to put each second to better use as we extol you at all times.  If we glory and boast in anyone or anything, let it be in you.  Let us love you loud enough for others to hear.  Transform your people into a people who live to praise you.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
I want to invite you to join me in memorizing 52 passages this year from the 2017 set of Fighter Verses.  You can find the Fighter Verses App at the App Store on your phones or via this link  http://fighterverses.com/the-verses/fighter-verses/As we study the Bible this year, let's look at each text and learn what it says about God.
