Service to School is rapidly growing and they have more applicants than ever! With the 2024-25 admissions season quickly approaching, they are seeking 100 new Ambassadors to support these motivated veteran applicants!
Ambassadors can be current students or recent graduates. S2S will provide all of the training & resources needed. As a S2S Ambassador, you can expect to spend an average of 1-3 hours per month supporting veteran applicants.

Undergraduates Only: Participate in Research on College Choice Among Enlisted Members

This is an opportunity for you to contribute to important research concerning military-connected students’ choices regarding undergraduate education.
Scott, a retired veteran and the Director of Transfer and Veteran Admissions at Syracuse University, aims to uncover the factors influencing why military-connected students (veterans, active duty, National Guard, and reserves) choose their schools.
Get Involved:
Scott is conducting a survey to collect data from military-connected students and former students. Your participation will provide valuable insights that can shape future educational policies and practices.
Confidentiality Assured:
All responses will be kept confidential, and the findings will be shared through various channels to benefit the broader military-connected community.

Support the Women's Boxing Club: Baraka Bouts Fundraiser!

This year’s Baraka Bouts tournament will not only showcase boxing skills but also raise funds for two Holy Cross Missions Schools in East Africa.
About Baraka Bouts:
“Baraka” means “blessing” in Swahili, symbolizing the impact of our efforts. This year's proceeds will support a new women’s dormitory at Lakeview Secondary School in Jinja, Uganda, providing a safe living environment for students.
How You Can Help:
The Women’s Boxing Club aims to raise $75,000 for this project. Your donations will significantly enhance educational opportunities for these students.

Wreaths Across America: Volunteers Needed to Lay Wreaths to Honor Deceased Veterans

Join us in honoring our fallen heroes at the Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony on December 14th at 12 PM. This event will take place simultaneously with the ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery and will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery of the Brothers of the Holy Cross.
We invite students to volunteer their time to help lay wreaths for the 47 deceased veterans interred at the cemetery who have given so much for our freedom. This is a meaningful way to show our gratitude and respect for their service.
Volunteer Details:
- Date: December 14
- Time: 12 PM
- Location: St. Joseph's Cemetery of the Brothers of the Holy Cross. See map location here.

University Health Services (UHS)

- The True Top 1% Foundation has launched a mental health initiative specifically designed for the military community. Their mission is to support, honor, and empower our military and its service-members through the therapeutic power of art. Art has proven to be a valuable tool for self-expression, helping navigate challenges such as alcoholism, PTSD, suicide prevention, and other traumas.
- Join the open studio every Tuesday and take advantage of free art classes every Thursday where you can learn to draw, paint, and explore various artistic mediums.
